A Servant's Heart {Mother's Day}

My big boys played the song A Servant's Heart with their instruments in church yesterday, on Mother's Day.

Ponder the words of this beautiful song.

Make me a servant like you, Dear Lord.
Living for others each day.
Humble and meek,
helping the weak,
loving in all that I say.

Give me Lord, a servant's heart
here's my life take every part.
Give me Lord a servant's heart
Help me draw so close to you
that your love comes shining through
give me Lord a servant's heart.
Give me Lord a servant's heart.

Make me a witness like you, Dear Lord,
showing the love of the cross.
Sharing your word till all have heard,
serving whatever the cost.

Give me Lord, a servant's heart
here's my life take every part.
Give me Lord a servant's heart
Help me draw so close to you
that your love comes shining through
give me Lord a servant's heart.
Give me Lord a servant's heart.

What a convicting song!  It is my prayer that I draw so close to HIM that HIS love comes shining through me.

My mom has that servant's heart!  She has been an amazing example to me, she is humble and meek, quietly doing the work of Christ.  I love you mom!

The Saturday before Mother's Day we had a Mother/Daughter tea at church.  I knew my mom was meeting me, Carrie Anne and Abby there BUT... I had no idea my sister was coming up to surprise me.  I was surprised and it was wonderful to see her!

After a great church service on Sunday we had a picnic at the park and had beautiful weather to enjoy the outdoors.

Andrew had picked Abby up and dipped her feet in the water and Seth must have
thought it was hilarious by he look on his face.

The kids had fun playing at the water, we figured it was a matter of time before someone "fell" in, but we made it
home with everyone dry.

Taylor and I just enjoyed sitting back laughing at them.

We stopped by Sonic for a milkshake before heading home for the kids to play in the yard.

The kids gave me a beautiful mug which I enjoyed my
coffee out of this morning.

It was a wonderful day!
