HaPpY BiRtHdAy CaLeB!

 Caleb celebrates his 7th birthday today.  

Oh my mommy heart aches to be with him on these special days.  But... never again on his birthday will he wake up an orphan.  

No, next year he will have a mommy, daddy, brothers and sisters to shower him with love and make his day a special one.

We sent him a care package with a cake, candy and toy and hope to get pictures of him soon!

WOO HOO!!!!

Our agency received our Travel Approval today!

They will apply for our Consulate Appointment on Sunday night, since it is now the weekend in China and then we can reserve our flights.

If our agency is able to get the appointments they want we will need to be in China on the weekend of May 11th, which means two weeks from now we will be headed to China!  So, we wait to see which appointment they are able to get.

Caleb and Seth we will be there very, very soon!

Field trip to Maymont

Today we had a beautiful day to go to the park with our home school group.

There were lots of frogs, caterpillars and inch worms, the kids had a great time getting a good look at them.

We had a great day enjoying God's creation!

Crossing things off the list!

I am a list maker.
  Not because I like to be terribly organized... Hmm...., no.

But, because of the absolute joy I receive when I can cross something off of my list!  The best feeling!!  

Satisfaction!  

Accomplishment!  

Completion!

And... lately we have been crossing lots of things off of our list!

*Passports couriered to the Chinese Consulate and Chinese visas in passports~ done!

*Taylor moved to new room~ done!

*Andrew's room painted, bed built, and Andrew moved into room~done!

*Boys bathroom painted~ done!

*Little boys room painted, beds painted, linens bought, room ready for two sweet little boys~ done!

*Little boys clothes bought, washed and waiting to be worn by two cute little boys~ done!

*Garden tilled ready to be planted~ done!

*Gifts bought for giving to care givers, guides, orphanage director and such while in China, about 20 gifts~ done!

The only problem, it seems every time I cross something off of the list I add two more things to the list!

But...

we are getting closer!

We are beginning to finish up school, only a couple of subjects that we are wrapping up and we can call the 2012-2013 school year complete.  Which means we can cross a MAJOR thing off of the list... Taylor's homeschooling... he will be graduating!!

We have also been given the heads up that our agency is expecting our Travel Approval soon... it has left China.  So... very, very soon we will be in high speed packing mode!

What an absolute W.O.N.D.E.R.F.U.L. thing to wake up to!!

Seth's birthday was two weeks ago, we sent him a care package with a birthday cake, candy and a gift.  This morning I received pictures from the care package company with step by step pictures of Seth enjoying his cake and toy!  What an absolute treasure for this waiting mommy and daddy!!
